School Bus Warning Lights - New State Regulation
As of August 16, 2016, Wisconsin Department of Transportation passed a new regulation that school buses in Wisconsin must have amber lights to alert that the bus is about to activate its flashing red warning lights while coming to a stop.

Pursuant to WI State Statute 301.46(2m), the Marshfield Police Department is authorized to inform the public about a convicted sex offender release in to our community. Mr. Pavlekovich has been convicted of multiple sex offenses. His criminal history places him in a classification level which reflects the potential to re-offend.
Mr. Pavlekovich has served the sentence imposed on him by the courts. He is NOT wanted by the police at this time. This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather, it is our belief that an informed public is a safer public.
Mr. Pavlekovich has been convicted of First Degree Sexual Assault of a Child (2000), Fourth Degree Sexual Assault (2005), Second Degree Sexual Assault of a Child (2012), and Exposing a Child to Harmful Materials (2012). His victims were a 12 year old male (2000), an adult male (2005), and a 14 year old male (2012), all who were known to him.

Free Bicycle Registration
During the course of the year, the police department recovers numerous abandoned and stolen bicycles. If the bicycle is registered, owners can be located and bicycles returned. To protect your property and as a public service, beginning in 2014, bike licenses will be provided to you at no cost. You may register your bike at the Marshfield Police Department Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Basic bike information required on the registration form includes:
Frame color and size
Number of speeds

Prescription Drug Drop off
The PD is a 24/7 drop off point for prescription drugs. For more information click here or click here for a bookmark reminder. As of August 2016 we now are able to accept sharps: they can be placed in the secured wooden box in the inner lobby of the Police Department to the left of the current prescription drop off location.
