HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES STEWARDSHIP AWARDS PROGRAM
Has an aging property in your neighborhood become the shining star on the block? Are you aware of someone who has done such a great job restoring or maintaining their property that they should get an award? The Marshfield Historic Preservation Committee would like your help in identifying candidates for a new Stewardship Awards Program in 2007.
To promote public awareness of preservation and restoration, the Committee will present awards to property owners who have shown exemplary stewardship in historic preservation through renovation and upkeep of their property.
Any property 50 years or older is eligible. Awards will be announced and presented annually or bi-annually in conjunction with Historic Preservation Month or a Common Council meeting.
To make a nomination, go to ci.marshfield.wi.us/historic/ and submit a nomination form online or print out the form and mail your completed nomination to: Historic Preservation Committee, City of Marshfield, P.O. Box 727, Marshfield, WI 54449. Forms are also available at City Hall Plaza, Department of Planning & Economic Development.
The Committee & Staff look forward to working with the community to promote Marshfield’s historic character through education and outreach. Help us celebrate the people and places that make Marshfield interesting, unique and important.
