Department: Public Works - Street Division
Summary: Under the general direction and supervision of an Assistant Street Superintendent, the Classification II-Laborer performs various street and sewer maintenance (including concrete work), snow and ice removal, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Wisconsin commercial drivers license, class "A" with tanker endorsement required.
Compensation: $16.26/hour minimum to $19.78/ hour maximum.
Hours of Work: 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday year round except construction season. Construction season (June-August) staff works 6:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Residency: As a condition of continued employment with the city, emergency personnel will be expected to maintain residence within a 15 mile radius of city limits. Emergency personnel will be defined as City Administrator, Public Works Director, City Engineer, Building Services Supervisor, all Wastewater Utility employees (except Administrative Assistant II) and all Street Division employees (except Administrative Assistant II) Employees must establish such residency no later than sixty (60) days following the completion of their probationary period. Employees who are required by Ordinance to reside within the 15 mile radius of city limits, and who moves his residence outside of the restriction, shall be deemed to resign his/her position with the City on the date that transfer of residency takes place, effective immediately.
