Main Street Marshfield, Inc. was founded in the spring of 1990 by agroup of about 40 local business people, professionals and city officials. As a not-for- profit volunteer corporation, Main Street Marshfield is designed to act as a catalyst for revitalizing the downtown area through concentrated efforts of organization, promotion, design and economic restructuring.
The CDA was developed by the City of Marshfield to fulfill the following duties: blight elimination, slum clearance, urban renewal, community development programs and housing projects in the City of Marshfield.
The Marshfield Convention and Visitors Bureau is a not-for-profit organization with a mission statement to provide small-town friendliness and a sense of community along with an active city scene to groups of all sizes and types.
The Wisconsin Department of Commerce was established in 1996 through the consolidation of various independent state organizations. It provides development assistance in areas such as marketing, business and community finance, exporting, small business advocacy, and manufacturing assessments.
