Position:                    Temporary Office Clerical I

Department:              Fire and Rescue Department

 The City of Marshfield is looking for one (1) temporary office worker to work 30-40 hours per week for approximately 8-10 weeks in the Marshfield Fire and Rescue Department.  This position reports to the Deputy Chief-Fire Prevention.  This temporary position is project based and will focus on transferring data to a new software program including data entry, with data checking and verification, as well as updating the database as needed. 

Education and Experience:  High school diploma or equivalent is required.  Must have knowledge of relevant software applications including MS Office and must be able to work with multiple platforms of software (Training provided on fire department specific software).  Must be proficient in use of email and internet.  Accurate keyboard skills are required.

Key Competencies:  The successful candidate must be able to work independently.  Must be able to work with confidential information.  Must have strong organizational and planning skills, the ability to prioritize work, and must be goal oriented with the ability to set and meet daily, weekly, monthly goals.   Attention to detail and accurate data entry is required.  Must be able to work in an environment with occasional distractions and exhibit strong communication skills - verbal and written.

Compensation:  $9.50 - $11.00 per hour
