Child Passenger Safety Program
The Child Passenger Safety Program:
The Marshfield Fire & Rescue Department has partnered with Safe Kids Wood County to provide the Marshfield community with the child passenger safety program that centers on child injury reduction. The program is designed to assist parents/caretakers with the proper installation of car seats in their vehicles. When installed and used correctly, child safety seats and safety belts can prevent injuries and save lives. Child safety seats can reduce fatal injury by up to 71 percent for infants and 54 percent for toddlers (ages 1 to 4).
If you have questions regarding the proper installation of your seat you should contact the Marshfield Fire & Rescue Department at 715/486-2094 to set up an appointment with one of our certified technicians.
The department has three certified technicians who have been certified by Safe Kids Worldwide using the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Curriculum. Our technicians are:
|1.||Firefighter/Paramedic Brian Barnes|
|2.||Firefighter/Paramedic Pete Winistorfer|
|3.||Firefighter/Paramedic Jonathan Altman|
Our technicians are on each of our three shifts to ensure that we have a technician available for you when you need assistance. We ask that you call us in advance to ensure that we have a technician on duty. In the event we do not have a technician on duty we will have a technician contact you to set up an appointment.
