Citizens Fire Academy

OVERVIEW: The Marshfield Fire & Rescue Department Citizen’s Fire Academy is a learning program for people who reside or work in the Marshfield Area and who want to know more about their fire department.  It is our desire to increase awareness about the Fire Department with our local residents so they become well-informed citizens who can become more involved with the long- term safety of our community.  We will demonstrate the day to day operations of the Fire Department.  We are committed to the community we serve and we are determined to be at the forefront of fire and injury prevention and rescue.

  •   Fire Ground Operations
  •   Live Fire Observation
  •   Car Fire Scenario

WHEN:  There is currently an academy running! The academy in every Thursday evening from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm starting on April 13th, 2017 until May 11th, 2017.

WHERE:  The academy meets at the Marshfield Fire & Rescue Department and at the MFRD Training Center on south Vine Street.

REQUIREMENTS: Participants must be at least 18 years old & live or work in the Marshfield Area.  

TO APPLY:  We are not currently accepting applications for the fire academy. Please check back early in 2018 for more information regarding the fire academy.
