2015 Vounteer of the Year

Jan Altmann & family are being recognized as 2015 Marshfield Parks & Recreation Volunteers of the Year.

Each year, the Parks & Recreation Department nominates a person or group who have made a positive impact in our community.  Jan & her family were instrumental in getting the Blackhawk Helicopter painted in Veterans Park, in addition to many other improvements to the park including new picnic tables, benches, flag poles, planting beds & sidewalks. The Altmann family has been instrumental in the development and upkeep of the Veterans Memorial by helping salvage & lay over 8,000 bricks, install flower beds, and spread mulch.  The Altmann family is also active volunteering in other areas of the community, as they also help organize the Marshfield Community Thanksgiving Dinner, which supports local nonprofit organizations.

Congratulations to Jan & the Altmann family, and thank you to the many individuals who volunteer each year for the Marshfield Parks & Recreation Department.
