2016 Volunteer of the Year

Ken Swenson is being recognized as 2016 Marshfield Parks & Recreation Volunteer of the Year.

Each year, the Parks & Recreation Department nominates a person or group who have made a positive impact in our community.  Ken Swenson has done so much work for our department over the years in his free time.  On several occasions, he has done things like cutting buckthorn out of fence lines, making a set of benches for our indoor tennis court, and many other things that we will never even know about.  When Ken sees something that needs to be done, he will take time and do the task to improve our park system.  Unless we happen to see him doing the work, it is often times done without a thank you, but it is very much appreciated.

Congratulations to Ken, and thank you to the many individuals who volunteer each year for the Marshfield Parks & Recreation Department!
