Our patrol division consists of 4 Patrol Lieutenant's, 24 Patrol Officers and 2 K-9 Officers. There are 4 separate shifts which alternate between days and nights. The patrol division is the operational component of the department and its main objective is to provide law enforcement and all related duties to the citizens of Marshfield. Routine patrol, taking calls for service and community policing are just a few ways our patrol division enforces the laws within the city limits. These tasks are achieved utilizing state of the art equipment within our squad cars, bike patrol and foot patrol along with maintaining an open line of communication on a daily basis with our citizens.
The patrol division currently has 5 Ford Explorer squads, 1 Dodge Ram truck squad and 1 Chevy Tahoe squad plus the 2 K-9 units. There are also 4 police mountain bikes that are utilized for patrol during the summer months for routine patrol downtown, holiday parades and festivals. Our patrol division responds to thousands of calls for service each year and they also provide the city with traffic enforcement.
