The 2008 structure fire loss in Marshfield resulted in a decrease from the structure fire loss in 2007.  2008 saw a loss of $552,961 on property valued at $1,569,661 while 2007 saw a fire loss of $954,850 on property valued at $3,646,600. 2008 total Fire loss from all property was $3,465,051 on property valued at $5,788,511.

It was up slightly from 1996 which had a fire loss of $247,050 but down slightly from 1995.  A large portion of the 1997 fire loss was due to a fire at Central Wisconsin Glass, 307 N. Central Avenue, that spread to 309 N. Central Avenue resulting in a $225,000 total fire loss
