Marshfield has a Historic Preservation Committee made up of an architect, an alderman, a historian, a Plan Commission member and interested citizens. The Committee promotes preservation through the Marshfield Municipal Register of Historic Places.

Ken Wood, Chairperson

Representation on Committee: Plan Commission Member
Background: History major and English and Geography minor at UWSP. Taught History, English and Geography 32 years, retired from Appleton Public Schools. Worked at the reference desk at the Marshfield Public Library for 5+ years and is presently the Vice-Chair of Northwood County Historical Society.

Background: Taught chemistry and physics for 40 years. Locally, he served on the Fire and Police Commission, both fire station study committees, the Veterans Parkway Design Guidelines Committee, and the citizens committee associated with the review of the Comprehensive Plan for the city.

Stout - Menomonie; Taught Home Economics/Family and Consumer Education for 30 years in Neillsville, Marshfield and Granton School systems; Genealogist/Family Historian since 1984; Newsletter Editor and Past President for the Marshfield Area Genealogy Group and current President for the Wisconsin State Genealogical Society; Worked with husband, Don, to publish two history books on the City of Marshfield.
