New Elementary Schools
For the New Washington Elementary School, the School
District of Marshfield purchased a piece of property July 2, 2004 located at
11th Street and Lincoln Avenue. The property was bought with
intentions of moving Washington Elementary School into a more modern
setting, in response to a city referendum. The new Madison School is being
built on the same property as the existing Madison School, just in a
different location. The two new elementary schools are identical 50,000
square foot buildings and they are expected to be open for the start of
school fall 2006.
