Roy Shrewy Field Airport Terminal
400 West 29th Street
Marshfield’s Municipal Airport, Roy Shrewy Field, provides a valuable transportation tool for our local citizens, industries, medical flights and many emergency flight operations. The current 60-year old Terminal Building has served the Marshfield community well, typically when corporations, retail outlets, medical facilitators, government officials and others visit our community. The Airport is a key factor when attracting new business to the City. In 2003, the State of Wisconsin conducted an Economic Impact Survey that indicated the Airport in Marshfield indirectly contributes 3.8 million dollars per year to the local economy.
The Terminal project has been in the works since 1999. This project came about when the Federal Aviation Entitlement program granted eligible airport funds earmarked for improvements. With the help of the Federal Aviation Administration, State of Wisconsin, Bureau of Aeronautics, and the City of Marshfield, dollars were secured to help fund this project.
