The City of Marshfield, Marshfield Cable Television Committee and Vidcom L.L.C., are proud to announce the opening of the new Marshfield Community Television studio and facilities. MCTV10 is one of three Public, Educational, and Government channels that can be seen on the Charter Communications Cable System in the City of Marshfield and Cameron and McMillan Townships. This new facility will help to fulfill the mission of Community Television—to provide a local media outlet for the expression of ideas and opinions; to create an informed electorate through the coverage of local government meetings, issues and events; to provide greater accessibility and understanding of city government through municipal programs and other video communication; to foster and promote citizen involvement and participation in the democratic process; to provide an electronic free speech forum the promotes, encourages and reflects the cultural diversity of the Marshfield community; and to provide equipment and training to citizens in the art of video production.
