Wastewater Utility

The Marshfield Wastewater Treatment Facilities offers tours by appointment by calling (715) 591-2022.  Tours are an excellent way to view firsthand the fascinating wastewater treatment processes and equipment needed to provide clean water for our environment.  Experienced and knowledgeable operators dedicated to this profession lead the tours and are conducted for one person or groups of up to 25 people.  For safety purposes, we recommend attendees be 10 years old or accompanied by a parent.

Tours may begin with a video depicting certain elements of our Clean Water Mission that cannot be shown in the walkthrough.  The tour lasts about 1 1/2 hours and entails considerable walking and stair climbing.  Since considerable time is spent outdoors, appropriate dress and shoes for weather conditions is recommended.  Tours are usually scheduled between the hours of 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM.  Other hours can be accommodated upon request.

Safety is our utmost concern for all visitors; therefore, we request a list of names of those planning to attend in advance.  All participants must comply to our safety guidelines.
